Hi there besties! I wanted to take the time to make this section dedicated to books that are both romance, yet spooky and thriller based in the adult scene. Today we are going to take the time to talk about some of my favorite SMUT books from one of my favorite authors. Penelope Douglas is a romance author who started publishing her first books in 2013 and from there has only progressed more. The first book of her's that I became intrigued with was Credence. I had seen it all over TikTok and I was like okay these books are definitely out of the ordinary and something I definitely wanted to explore of. This book, "Credence", particularly is a dark and mysterious romance novel that follows the story of Tiernan de Haas, a young woman who moves to a remote mountain town to escape her troubled past. She meets her new guardians, two brothers and a step-uncle who live an isolated life in the mountains. As Tiernan becomes closer to these three men, she soon discovers dark secrets about their family and must navigate her way through explosive emotions and danger. The book explores themes of family, loyalty, and love in the face of adversity. This book is also 18+, so if you are not into sex and dark language, please refrain, but if you do enjoy, carry on and enjoy. It is hot, steamy, and I definitely did not want the main characters story to end once I got to the last sentence.
